Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore Film Review
Everybody has films in the Wizarding World franchise that they really love just like they all have films in thew Wizarding World franchise that they all really hate. The film that i'm about to review for you all today is not only one of if not the most controversial films in this franchise but is also one of the most hated films in this franchise and so then join me as I review the film that could quite possibly be the final Fantastic Beasts film that we ever get with the film in question being called simply just "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore" enjoy.
The plot of this film is Newt and his alleys are tasked by Albus Dumbledore to form an army that can take down and stop Gellert Grindelwald once and for all. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad since this films plot is fairly enjoyable however this films plot isn't all that good either with the plot of this film being quite dull and boring for the most part in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Starring in this film is Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore and Eddie Redmayne as Newton "Newt" Scamander. Also starring in this film is Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone , Paul Low-Hang as Zabini , Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein , Callum Turner as Theseus Scamander , Richard Coyle as Aberforth Dumbledore , Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski , Jessica Williams as Eulalie "Lally" Hicks , Victoria Yeates as Bunty Broadacre , Fiona Glascott as Minerva McGonagall , Katherine Waterston as Porpentina "Tina" Goldstein , Poppy Corby-Tuech as Vinda Rosier , William Nadylam as Yusuf Kama , Maja Bloom as Carrow and Mads Mikkelsen as Gellert Grindelwald.
Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty. Really good heck i;d even go as far as far as to say that the acting is one of the very few things that this film does well this is despite the fact that this films script is just flat out bad and could have done with a few more rewrites.
Doing the CGI for this film is the legends and the greats that are over at Framestore , Digital Domain , Image Engine Design , Rodeo FX , RISE Visual Effects Studios , One Of Us , Raynault VFX and Brazil Production Services. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films CGI being some of the best looking CGI in the whole franchise and while nothing will compare to the GI in Deathly Hallows Part 2 this film does come pretty close.
This film was marketed very heavily around us finding out Dumbledore's deep dark secret which would have been effective if it weren't for the fact that we already knew that both Dumbledore and Grindelwald had a blood pact and had worked together in the past. As such the title now makes no sense because we already know what the secret is and so if your going to have a title like The Secrets Of Dumbledore then at least tell us something new about the character and don't just tell us the things that we already knew about the character.
When it came to the first two films I was very forgiving on the writing mostly because of the fact that J.K. Rowling isn't a script writer. However tho we are now three films into this Fantastic Beasts series of films and the writing is showing no signs of getting better granted the writing the writing in this film is a little bit better but that's mostly because of the fact tat they brought back Harry Potter screenwriter Steve Kloves to co-write the screenplay for this film but even he can't make this script good since it still feels like a novel and not like a movie due to the fact that everything is over explained which is something that you can get away with in a novel but you can't get away with it when it comes to being in a movie.
This film does introduce us to a new version of the Gellert Grindelwald character who in this film is alot more cold and calculating. Where as in the first two films he was more of a Voldemort clone in that he was crazy and insane but there was nothing more then that to his character where as in this film you see him thinking three steps ahead of everybody else and you see him manipulating people in order to get what he wants and that did make this version of the character alot more interesting then the character was in the previous two films.
Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly two hours and twenty two minuets and thirty nine seconds. Which was such a long time for a story like this one to last since when you boil it down to it's bare essentials this film really doesn't have alot their interms of either plot or story to cover that large amount of running time and as such we do get alot of scenes that go nowhere and that add absolutely nothing to the overall plot of the film and that really does effect the overall pacing of the film as well which is rather slow at best.
So now then since there is action in this episode that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With there being alot of really good looking and exciting action sequences in this very film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Overall this film is just so bad and it totally deserves all of the negative reviews that it got because it fails to be good even on the most basic of film making levels in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns it self a grand old score of exactly a 4 out of 10 from me.
Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the Harry Potter fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images this film being the official Harry Potter fandom wiki page this is because all of the images that I got and that currently up , featured and on the official Harry Potter fandom wiki page are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
