Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return To Hogwarts Review

 

Harry Potter fans it is the start of the New Year and what better way to start of the New Year then to review something that's Harry Potter related and well then as look would have it there's something new that's Harry Potter related that has just been released. This is something I and I hope many others have been waiting at least a month or two for and so join me as I review the special that reunites us with some old school friends with the special in question being called simply just "Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return To Hogwarts" enjoy.

Since this a special in the vain of the Friends reunion special that means that there is no plot to this special to speak of whatsoever. However it also means that there's no annoying live segments with a bunch of celebrity fans either which for a Harry Potter reunion special not having celebrity fans to me helped make the special feel all the more special because it's just some of the cast and crew just talking about this franchise and what it meant to them personally and that's what a reunion special should be in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.  

Starring in this special are Daniel Radcliffe , Rupert Grint , Emma Watson , Helena Bonham Carter and Robbie Coltrane. Also starring in this special are Ralph Fiennes , Jason Isaacs , Gary Oldman , Tom Felton , James Phelps , Oliver Phelps , Mark Williams , Bonnie Wright , Alfred Enoch , Ian Hart , Toby Jones , Matthew Lewis , Evanna Lynch , David Heyman , Chris Columbus , Alfonso Cuarón , Mike Newell and David Yates.

Now then I have to say that the fact that they got this many of the Harry Potter films cast and crew in the same room together is just a freaking fantastic thing. Since all of them are now so busy with other projects that just to get them in the same room as each for five minuets would have been an impossible challenge for any product to even attempt to do and it's something that i'm glad that this production managed to pull of rather freaking wonderfully in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then as you can see there is one name that was left of the list of people whom is appearing in this special and that is of course J.K, Rowling. Now then regardless of what you personally think about J.K. Rowling be it as a person or as an author having her being excluding from something that she helped to create and in later two films she was even given the credit of an executive producer is a very bad thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then this reunions special was being made because it was twenty years since the release of Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone. Which now then begs the question of why this reunion special wasn't made and thus then released in the actual anniversary year of that film instead the makers behind this reunion special chose to release this reunion special on the twentieth year of Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets which kind of negates the whole anniversary aspect of this very freaking reunion special in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then I have to say that this special did something that I really did want it do and that's the fact that this special very much brought me back to when I was a kid watching these movies for the very first freaking time up and on the big screen in a cinema. Which is a very good thing since it also reminded me of why I love these films and why I love these characters and that for me at least is a very freaking good thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then there are a things that I didn't like about this reunion special with the first thing being that it's just a bunch of sit down interviews. Which could very boring at somepoints in the actual reunion special itself and the second thing that I personally didn't like is the fact that alot of what they cover in this reunion special are things that we Harry Potter already knew about which is a shame because when they do talk about something new and different it pretty freaking interesting in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this reunion special has / had an exact  running time of exactly one hour and forty two minuets and fifty six seconds. Which yeah i'm going to lie here is a bit of a long running time for this special since so much of this reunion is just repeating itself over and over again and so I don't really see any reason as to why this freaking reunion special is as long as it was and I also don't see why this reunion special couldn't have been at the very freaking least one hour and thirty minuets long in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least.

Now then I really do have to admit that it was really freaking nice and very freaking sweet just seeing all of these old faces coming back to the world of Harry Potter just to do this one off reunion special. Also what made me smile during this special was just hearing all of the stories that all of these people from working on all of these very freaking wonderful films which to me at least just cements the fact that this cast and this crew were a literal family in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this was a very good reunion special and interms of which reunion special I liked best either this one the Friends reunion special I have to say that it's a tie since both Harry Potter and Friends were huge part of my life growing and thus both reunion specials were really freaking good and cool in my freaking opinions anyways  / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very reunion special in this very review and as such that means that this very reunion special erns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8.5 out of 10 from me.
