My First Impressions On The Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament Of Houses TV Game Quiz Show

 

Harry Potter fans you've all seen me review the various films in the Harry Potter and the Fantastic Beasts film and multi media franchises. However tho now you can add a game show to that list because yes the Harry Potter franchise has now officially got it's very own game show and it's exactly what you think it is and so join me as I give you all my very first impressions of the very first ever Harry Potter themed game quiz show with the exact same Harry Potter themed game quiz show being called simply just "Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament Of Houses" enjoy.

The idea behind this show is to get alot of the apparently the worlds most knowledgeable Harry Potter fans and quiz them about the Harry Potter books and films. However this very quickly comes apart when you realise that literally every single contestant in this first ever episode is American which doesn't harm the overall idea behind the quiz show but if your going to brag about having all of the world's most knowledgeable Harry Potter then wouldn't it be best if some of those exact same knowledgeable Harry Potter fans where actually featured on the two main teams for this episode in my opinions anyways / at least. 

Hosting this game show is the rather odd choice of Dame Helen Mirren and original Harry Potter film franchise cast member Luke Youngblood as this shows main announcer and scores announcer. Now then I will have to admit that getting Dame Helen Mirren to host this game show is bit of an odd choice as she has nothing to do with the main Harry Potter franchise but she does do a good job at hosting this show in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then in terms of what I personally thought / think / felt about about who could actually have been a much better choice to host this game show in all honesty I in all honesty personally / thought / think / felt that somebody like Matthew Lewis or even Evanna Lynch. Simply because both of those people have some form of association with the Harry Potter film and multi-media franchise and both of them are actually quite and entertaining to watch in whatever they are currently starring / appearing in in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

The set for this for this game show is pretty hard to describe since it's takes elements from the Quidditch field , the great hall and I think Dumbledore's Office as well but i'm not one hundred percent sure about that one tho. Which makes this shows set a confusing mess since there's not one but possibly three main themes going on in this one set and all of which could have made for a freaking really good freaking game show set in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then as was / is to be expected this game show mostly goes by what happens / what happened in the Harry Potter films and not the Harry Potter books. Now then this is something which I can see putting of fans of the Harry Potter books since it does mean that alot of stuff that's exclusive to the books isn't mentioned in this first episode of this game show buy please do bare in mind that this game show was created purely to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the first film and so in that regards it does strictly make alot of sense that this show be focused on asking the contestants questions things that are strictly in the Harry Potter films in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then for some strange reason the only jokes that Dame Helen Mirren likes to tell in this first episode are bad jokes. Like i'm not even kidding her first joke in this episode is her telling us that we the audience can call her Helen and that's the joke like whomever was writing the jokes that Dame Helen Mirren had to say in this episode deserves to be fired like straight away and right freaking now because these were some bad freaking jokes and some really painfully unfunny jokes in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.   

So now then this show is made up of a few rounds (forgive me as I cannot remember the exact amount of rounds that this show has) all of which are fairly simple answer and question rounds. However both teams take alot of time talking over the most simplest of questions which doesn't help sell me on the fact that these group of six people are meant to be die hard and knowledgeable Harry Potter fans if anything it makes them come across as being freaking casual fans and not as I said die hard and knowledgeable Harry Potter fans in my freaking opinion anyways / at least.

Now then this episode has / had a grand total freaking running time of exactly forty four minuets and six seconds. Which is in all honesty the perfect amount of time for a game show like this one to last since there's only so many things that you can do with a Harry Potter theming before it starts to get tired and repetitive and so having this episode last just under an hour without commercials / adverts was a really good move in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Now then since game show is a quiz game show after all and that means that I have to actually talk about the actual questions that are featured / presented to us in this very quiz game show and well in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual questions that are actually featured / presented to us in this quiz game show were pretty hard. Like I consider myself to be a mostly a die hard Harry Potter fan and even I was struggling with some of this quiz game shows questions but at the same time you also got some really freaking easy questions as well so I guess it all balances out in the question department in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this game show episode was a pretty entertaining first episode but at the same time only focusing on the Harry Potter films does kind of limit the kinds of questions that can be asked tho in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good things and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this episode and well since this is only my first impressions of the show as a whole I will not be giving you my overall rating for the show as a whole but I will say that IF I do infact continue to watch every single episode of this show then I will produce a review of this show whenever the final ever episode of this show does infact get air.
