Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone Film Review

Harry Potter fans for once i'm stuck on how to open this review simply because of the fact that we lost a great actor a few days. As such I wanted to do this review since this was when his character was at his funniest and this film seems to be the only film that alot of none Harry Potter seem to point to whenever they reference the franchise for some weird and strange reason and so then join me as I review the film that introduced the world to Harry Potter with the film in question being called simply just "Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone" enjoy.

The plot of the film is eleven year old Harry Potter discovers that he's a wizard and is sent to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where upon he and his new friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger discover that someone is trying to steal a magical stone that will revive Lord Voldemort. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with this films plot holding up very well for the most part since there are some portions of the story that do seem a little childish in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter , Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley and Emma Watson as Hermione Granger. Also starring in this film is the late Robbie Coltrane as Rubeus Hagrid , Richard Harris as Albus Dumbledore , Ian Hart as Quirinus Quirrell and as The Voice Of Lord Voldemort , John Cleese as Nearly Headless Nick , Dame Maggie Smith as Minerva McGonagall , Alan Rickman as Severus Snape , Zoë Wanamaker as Rolanda Hooch , Warwick Davis as Filius Flitwick and The Voice Of Griphook , David Bradley as Argus Filch , Leslie Phillips as The Voice Of The Sorting Hat , Matthew Lewis as Neville Longbottom , James Phelps as Fred Weasley , Oliver Phelps as George Weasley , Alfred Enoch as Dean Thomas , Devon Murray as Seamus Finnigan , Leilah Sutherland as Alicia Spinnet , Danielle Tabor as Angelina Johnson , Emily Dale as Katie Bell , Luke Youngblood as Lee Jordan , Sean Biggerstaff as Oliver Wood , Chris Rankin as Percy Weasley , Eleanor Columbus as Susan Bones , Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy , Jamie Waylett as Vincent Crabbe , Josh Herdman as Gregory Goyle , Dame Julie Walters as Molly Weasley , Sir John Hurt as Garrick Ollivander , Bonnie Wright as Ginny Weasley , Adrian Rawlins as James Potter , Geraldine Somerville as Lily Potter , Richard Griffiths as Vernon Dursley , Fiona Shaw as Petunia Dursley , Harry Melling as Dudley Dursley and Elizabeth Spriggs as The Fat Lady.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of the child actors more then holding their own when acting with all of the adult actors in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the CGI for this film is Cinesite , Industrial Light & Magic , Lidar Services , Mill Film , Moving Picture Company , Rhythm & Hues Studios , Smoke and Mirrors , Sony Pictures Imageworks and The Computer Film Company. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty well then I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad since we do get alot of very good CGI effects but at the same time alot of this films CGI effects haven't aged that well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I'm not going to bore you with who i'm talking about and why i'm talking about them because I think you all know both of those by now. I will say that this death really did rock me and take me by surprise since it is something that came out of nowhere but this isn't the end for this actor since if we ever want to see them again then we have seven Harry Potter movies that we can put on since an actor never truly dies because they live on in their films and in their TV shows that they've ever worked on in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

The reason that I chose this film in particular to review is because of the fact that like Robbie Coltrane was in real life Rubeus Hagrid was very funny in this film. Since we see him inadvertently give the trio hints as to what's going on and genuinely acting like a goofball with is very fitting because Robbie Coltrane himself was a very funny man off screen and so to see him getting alot of this films more funnier moments just goes to show you just how much of talent that he well and truly was in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

For me this film isn't a bad start for this franchise since it does have all of the iconography that we associate with the Harry Potter films. However I feel that the other films handled those things alot better where as here for one reason or another they just didn't work that well like for example Hedwig's theme which is a classic piece of music but because they play it so much and play it over anything it looses alot of it's impact in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then while I cannot for the absolutely life of me remember whatever this films running time of this film even was but I do know that this film has / had an exact running time of roughly two hours and twenty one minuets. Which for something that is basically a kids film at this point in time is quite alot long running time since there are quite a few scenes in this film that go nowhere and add nothing to the plot like for example we didn't really need to the trio's first attempt to see the titular Philosopher's Stone nor did we need to see Harry training for Quidditch which is only so that we you audience can understand the rules of Quidditch but interms of the film and it's story it adds nothing to either this film nor it's story either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since there is some action in this film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. Which given that we only really get two action sequences in this whole entire film it's not surprising that they both turned out really well with the better one being the life size game of Wizard's Chess just because of how much dramatic weight there is to it and how creative it is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film wasn't a bad start to this franchise but alot of what this film does well is done better and improved upon in the later Harry Potter films and to a lesser extent the Fantastic Beasts films in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then since i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film that means that this film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Wikipedia , the official Harry Potter fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images this film being Google Images this is because all of the images that I got and that currently up , featured and on Google Images are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
