Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince Film Review

Harry Potter is the franchise that just keeps on going even when we think that it's done it changes direction and gives us something new. Granted that something might not be something we wanted but it's new nonetheless I bring this up as this is the case with the film that i'm about to review fro you all nonetheless as the films went from being deep dark action drama's to in this film being an action teen drama romantic comedy and so then join me as I review the film that proves that Hogwarts is no longer a safe place with the film in question being called simply just "Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince" enjoy.

The plot of this film is Harry has to retrieve a mysterious memory from the fame hungry Professor Slughorn that may hold the key to defeating Lord Voldemort for good. Now then interms of what I personally thought /felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad altho that's also the problem as the plot of this film isn't that good either as this films plot was weak at best with it coming and going whenever it wanted with the film instead choosing to focus on the teen drama rather then the actual plot of the film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter , Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley and Emma Watson as Hermione Granger. Also starring in this film is Sir Michael Gambon as Albus Dumbledore , Dame Maggie Smith as Minerva McGonagall , Alan Rickman as Severus Snape , Jim Broadbent as Horace Slughorn , Robbie Coltrane as Rubeus Hagrid , Warwick Davis as Filius Flitwick , Gemma Jones as Poppy Pomfrey , David Bradley as Argus Filch , David Thewlis as Remus Lupin , Natalia Tena as Nymphadora Tonks , Mark Williams as Arthur Weasley , Dame Julie Walters as Molly Weasley , James Phelps as Fred Weasley , Oliver Phelps as George Weasley , Hero Fiennes-Tiffin as 11 Year Old Tom Riddle , Frank Dillane as 16 Year Old Tom Riddle , Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange , Timothy Spall as Peter Pettigrew , Helen McCrory as Narcissa Malfoy , Bonnie Wright as Ginny Weasley , Matthew Lewis as Neville Longbottom , Anna Shaffer as Romilda Vane , Alfred Enoch as Dean Thomas , Devon Murray as Seamus Finnigan , Georgina Leonidas as Katie Bell , Jessie Cave as Lavender Brown , Freddie Stroma as Cormac McLaggen , Evanna Lynch as Luna Lovegood , Katie Leung as Cho Chang , Robert Knox as Marcus Belby , Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy , Jamie Waylett as Vincent Crabbe , Josh Herdman as Gregory Goyle , Scarlett Byrne as Pansy Parkinson , Amber Evans as Flora Carrow , Ruby Evans as Hestia Carrow , Louis Cordice as Blaise Zabini and Teresa Mahoney as Sofie.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us  in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that thew actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all in all honesty really good. Which really shouldn't come as that much of a surprise to any one as these films nearly always have some really good acting and so it only makes sense that this film would also have some really good acting in it as well with this films acting being helped by the fact that the script for this film is just so good that all this films cast have to do is just say the lines as they written and a good performance will come out of them naturally.

Doing the CGI for this film is Industrial Light & Magic , Moving Picture Company , Double Negative , Rising Sun Pictures , Framestore and Luma Pictures. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films CGI looking really good with alot of the CGI effects in this film holding up really well all these years later with their being next to no bad looking CGI effects to be found in this film as that's just how good the CGI in this film is as they hold up really well.

I will always say that this film is the calm before the storm as we get alot of the things that we are used to seeing in this franchise. With the characters still thinking that Hogwarts is a safe place and yet by the end of the film we are in the endgame with all f the characters worlds being turned upside down and I do have to give the filmmakers credit as they understood that to make the romantic elements more dramatic you have to have those moments of laughter and levity and that does create a feeling of this film being the calm before the storm as it makes us the audience feel that everything will be OK by the end of the film and yet as we soon find out that is anything close from being the case and yet it's something that worked really well in this film.

What doesn't work well for this film in the slightest is the fact that this film feels alot more like a teen drama with wizards then it does an action adventure film with wizards. Ad the film puts alot more focus on the teen drama aspect of the film then it does anything else which does go along way to helping the film feel like it's the calm before the storm but it also hurts the film as it impedes on the plot by not allowing it to advance and it gives us a ton of pointless which whilst amusing don't really add anything to the plot of this film or the plot of the next two films either wit all of this teen drama really making the film feel like a TV series that should be airing on The CW then it does an actual movie as the teen drama is just that pointless and rather annoying.

I will give this film credit for actually making Hogwarts an unsafe place as this is something was promised allot of the time in the films. Yet they never delivered on that promise and yet in this film the really do deliver n that promise not only by killing of the one person that helped Hogwarts feel as safe as it was but also by having Death Eaters invade and partially destroy parts of Hogwarts as well which was a really chilling as by having Death Eaters n Hogwarts itself it made the school feel unsafe as for five years until this point we'd thought that this school is the one lace that they'll never attack and that Dumbledore is the one person that they'll never attack and yet the moment that they kill of Dumbledore wee have a great and chilling attack by the Death Eaters which only adds to the dread that the characters must have been feeling and the dread that us the audience are now feeling as out heroes have essentially lost in this film.

Now then while I cannot for the absolutely live of me remember this films grand total running time even was I do now that for a fact that this film has / had an exact grand total running time of roughly two hours and twenty seven minuets. Which was a tad bit on the long side for this film as lot of this film is made up of truly pointless scenes with this not really being helped by the fact that the film really doesn't have alot of story to cover this large amount of this films running time which only goes to make those pointless scenes feel alot more like filler as all they do is pad the films running time with that having the effect if making the film feel boring I will however admit that this film does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Altho what lets the action down alot of the time in this film is the films editing which is just so fact that alot of the time you can't really tell what's going on but what little action that we do actually get to see looks really cool and s also really thrilling as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while this film is one of if not the worst Harry Potter film out there this film does also have alot of things going for it as well and is also fairly entertaing when it really wants to be in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now the i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in his very film un this very review ad as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then ass for where I personally got all of the images that  personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review form Wikipedia , the official Harry Potter fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images this film being the official Harry Potter fandom wiki page this is because all of the images that I got and that currently up , featured and on the official Harry Potter fandom wiki page are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
