Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban Film Review

Harry Potter fans it's been a good few months since I last reviewed a Harry Potter film as such I wanted to review a Harry Potter film. I did try my best to review a Harry Potter late last year but for one reason or another it just didn't happen as such I thought i;d take a look at the a film that is genuinely considered somewhat of a fan favorite and so then join me as I review the film that introduced a new actor as Albus Dumbledore with the film in question being called simply just "Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban" enjoy.

The plot of this film is with a murdered on thew lose Harry , Ron and Hermione start would could be their most dangerous year at Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry yet. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with this films plot being quite entertaining and at times genuinely quite heartwarming as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter , Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley and Emma Watson as Hermione Granger. Also starring in this film is Sir Michael Gambon as Albus Dumbledore , Dame Maggie Smith as Minerva McGonagall , Alan Rickman as Severus Snape , Robbie Coltrane as Rubeus Hagrid, Dame Emma Thompson as Sybill Trelawney , David Thewlis as Remus Lupin , Warwick Davis as Filius Flitwick , David Bradley as Argus Filch , Dawn French as The Fat Lady , Paul Whitehouse as Sir Cadogan , Timothy Spall as Peter Pettigrew , Bonnie Wright as Ginny Weasley , Matthew Lewis as Neville Longbottom , James Phelps as Fred Weasley , Oliver Phelps as George Weasley , Chris Rankin as Percy Weasley , Danielle Tabor as Angelina Johnson , Alfred Enoch as Dean Thomas , Devon Murray as Seamus Finnigan , Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy , Jamie Waylett as Vincent Crabbe , Josh Herdman as Gregory Goyle , Robert Hardy as Cornelius Fudge , Mark Williams as Arthur Weasley , Gary Oldman as Sirius Black , Dame Julie Walters as Molly Weasley , Julie Christie as Madam Rosmerta , Jim Tavaré as Tom , Lee Ingleby as Stan Shunpike , Richard Griffiths as Vernon Dursley , Fiona Shaw as Petunia Dursley , Harry Melling as Dudley Dursley , Pam Ferris as Marge Dursley and the great Sir Lenny Henry as The Voice Of Dre Head.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of this films cast members turning in some really good performances this even goes true for the cast member that are joining the franchise with this film as well with ll of them holding their own against all of the many returning cast members.

Doing the CGI for this film is Industrial Light & Magic , Moving Picture Company , Framestore CFC , Cinesite , Double Negative , Baseblack , Machine and Northern Lights Post. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films CGI for the most part holding up really well since there are one or two really very dodgy looking CGI effects that quite clearly haven't really aged all that well.

This film does introduce the concept of time travel and what I noticed in this film is that the time travel idea and indeed the entire second half of the third act just isn't needed. Since through what we see in the first half of the third act we know that someone is going to time travel and so we know that Buckbeak is going to be OK and that everything is going to turn out OK which means that the entire second half of the third act is now pointless which is a shame because the film does lay out some ground rules which could have made that entire third act very tense.

The idea of time travel is explained pretty well in this film with this film using the same take on time travel that Back To The Future used. However the only time that we the audience get to see the characters use time travel is in the pointless second half of the third act which is a shame because it would have made for a pretty fun and possibly even funny montage seeing just how exactly Hermione Granger made it to all of those classes and given that this film did experiment with it;s use of humor in this franchise the only reason as to why they didn't include a sequence like this is I think mostly due to story reasons but I could be wrong.

To this films credit it does have a great twist which even to this day is something that I really do love since it adds to the overall story of the films. Not only that but it also raises the steaks for Harry a well because now he could loose yet another family member and when he does loose Sirius it really does affect him and that works because staring with this film we the audience have gotten to see just how much he and Harry mean to each other heck Harry was even willing to kill himself in this film even if it means that there was the smallest of chances that Sirius could live.

Now then I cannot for the absolutely remember whatever this films running time even was I do know that for a fact that this film has / had an exact grand total running time of of roughly two hours and one minuets. Which is kind of the bog standard running time for the Harry Potter and even the Wizarding World set of films to have and to this films credit this film really does make the most of it's running time by giving us alot of really cool scenes that add things to the overall plot of the franchise and really not just the plot of this film as well.

So now then since this is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Since this films action is really just limited to one scene and that one scene is really iconic that it makes it hard for me to hate on the action that we get to see in this film because of how iconic it is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film might very well be a fan favorite but it's not a favorite of mine since alot of the things that this film does is done alot better in the over Harry Potter films in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Harry Potter fandom wiki page . Wikipedia , the official Back To The Future fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images this film being the official Harry Potter fandom wiki page this is because all of the images that I got and that currently up , featured and on the official Harry Potter fandom wiki page are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
